This year has been an amazing year for climate action – wouldn’t it be a shame to forget about this during Christmas?

Globalhagen has teamed up with our friends at HoodHeroes to bring you a sustainable Christmas market and special Christmas dinner full of Julehygge and sustainable gifting. Christmas has been coined as “the world’s greatest annual environmental disaster”. We see this as an opportunity to inspire change and sustainable action along with creating a relaxing and cosy evening for us all to enjoy. We believe that Christmas can be different and instead of contributing to the further destruction of the planet, we can challenge consumerism and create memories that will last.

16.00 – 19.30 Community Hall: Christmas Gifting & Workshops

In the community hall you’ll have the possibility to learn about sustainable gifting with a combination of workshops, get ideas to gift without money, buy sustainable products and experiences.

+++ A sustainable Christmas decoration workshop using recycled paper
+++ Gift vouchers for sustainable experiences around the city and donations to local charities as a gift on your behalf. For example buying 5 dinners for homeless people in the city
+++ Sustainable gift wrapping – we will use natural dyes to make unique cloth ‘wrapping paper’ and teach you how to wrap your gifts using traditional Japanese techniques. Bring gifts you already got or wrap the things you bought at the market.
+++ Local vendors will sell local honey, homemade and organic beauty products, pottery and much more…
+++ Purchase a sustainable bike tour of Copenhagen for your loved ones from our friends at Greenbiketours (Vouchers)

At 18.00 we will eat a delicious organic and vegetarian dinner in our classic family style and enjoy some lovely live music from Jess followed by faellesang//community singing. Come join us!

Throughout the event the kitchen will be open for you to enjoy the best vegetarian Christmas food in town, organic wine and soft drinks.
